My name is marissa, and i am a character and sequential artist!

I am very excited to be applying for this role at Studio Heartbreak! I have an unwavering drive for creativity and immense passion for creative storytelling. I am confident that my skills, enthusiasm, and dedication make me a strong candidate for this opportunity.

A little about me: I have created art all my life, but I originally decided to pursue mechanical engineering. This was my new path until I graduated high school. I realized that my passions lie within the creativity of the field rather that the technical side, and so I enrolled at Macomb Community College's Creative Imaging and Illustration program to pursue my dreams.

I am a self-publisher of my own webcomic project called METAMORPHOSIS: We as Mortals. It has been received very positively by the audience I have built and has also been featured multiple times across the platforms it is available on. On Global Comix’s blog, METAMORPHOSIS: We as Mortals was featured in “Most Popular of 2024: Manga by Creators,” “Most Popular of 2024: Verticals by Creators,” and “Creator Appreciation Month: Top 10 Popular Creators (2024).” METAMORPHOSIS: We as Mortals was also listed on Webtoon Canvas’ weekly Hidden Gems category back in July 2023.
